The Sock Monkeys were each born from a pair of VINTAGE Nelson/ Rockford Red Heel Socks, manufactured right here in Illinois! The socks are unused of course, then hand dyed and/ or aged to appear loved and worn. The monkeys have irregularities and "repairs" like old playthings of the past, which gives them unique character. Clothes, buttons and accessories are all vintage materials, hats and shoes are sewn on. I stuff them with cotton rags for nice heavy feel, with poly cotton in the limbs and tails. These monkeys have a wonderful feeling, and will tuck in nicely with your dolls and bears. *EACH IS ONE OF A KIND*
